ESTONIAN CONVERSATION COURSE FOR PRE-INTERMEDIATE II

If you have studied Estonian before, but seem to have forgotten a lot,

We focus on widening your active vocabulary and enhancing the courage to speak. Therefore, the emphasis is placed on developing speaking skills. We pay extra attention to Social Estonian - how to manage the communication in various social and work-related situations. You will learn the language of expressing opinion and preference, asking for advice and making suggestions, solving problems, handling phone calls, etc. We also cover some grammar, but grammar topics are closely connected to developing other skills and practised orally.
We use a variety of methods and activities that are typical of conversation courses: pair work, group work, discussions, dialogues, information gap activities, vocabulary games, role plays, board games, etc.
By the end of the course you will be able to present yourself in formal situations, express agreement and disagreement, make suggestions, manage making phone calls, clarify information, etc.
The course is based on Naljaga pooleks and the language materials created by Folkuniversitetet.
